Typically, the first date is a make-or-break situation that will determine whether or not there will be a succeeding date. Even if it is still early to check for compatibility, your first formal meeting with the man you really like makes a big impact on consequences that might lead to a long-lasting relationship.
And although many men adore aggressive women, still many males do not favor them. Thus, you will be on the safe side if you will just let your ‘laid-back’ characteristics shine through. This does not mean being pretentious. It only means letting out your more subtle traits dominate the date; this still implies being yourself.
Now that he has asked you out again, there are second date ideas that will make him ask you for more dates. But before applying these, nicely request him to change venues in case he has chosen a noisy place. In a quiet atmosphere like a small restaurant by the seaside, a picnic at the park, or even a simple stroll around serene areas of the neighborhood, the two of you can communicate better. This is important because good communication is actually the essence of a sturdy relationship.
Then, you can subtly show him you are a good listener and a wonderful talker. Men are usually elated when they are being sincerely listened to. Meanwhile, they generally love good speakers, too. The aforementioned ideas for the second date will center on highlighting your listening and speaking capabilities while injecting jokes or amusing stories. However, this date should definitely not be filled with your whole life story. Just saying what your hobbies are, your ambitions, and your likes as well as dislikes will trigger a great conversation with him.
Immediately after stating something, you must keep your talk interesting and smooth-flowing by encouraging him to also speak up. Doing so entails you to ask him relevant questions following your sharing about yourself. Make sure you let him talk uninterrupted and that you listen to him intently every time, having proper eye contact in the process. If your topics entail a short pat on his back, or a squeeze of his hands, then do so without being too straightforward or pushy. A friendly, genuine, and delicate touch will come across as a warm gesture of sincere understanding. Even if you already want to become intimate with him, insinuating this may just turn him off. On the other hand, if he has made some insinuations himself, you can make him ask for more, on the subsequent dates, by planting a short, tender kiss on his lips when you part ways after the second meeting.
All in all, the above-mentioned second date ideas will absolutely vary from one man to the next. These are basic pointers to follow, and should ideally be improved depending on your man’s personality. Speaking of his personality, this is one major aspect which you should analyze well because if he is clearly only playing along and will just break your heart in the near future, you must not waste your valuable time with him. In this case, you can simply look for another man to like, one who is worthy of your company in many dates to come.
